SIGN UP FOR PICTURES!  If you want to claim a good date and time to have your family’s picture taken for our upcoming 100th Anniversary Pictorial Directory, there are sign-up sheets on the bulletin board outside Pastor Bugbee’s office.  These initial appointments are coming August 19-22.

HELP US HOST MATT’S ORDINATION!  Our member, Matthew Fenn, a recent graduate of the St. Catharines Seminary, will be set apart for the Holy Ministry on Pentecost, next Sunday, June 9, in a special service at 4:00 p.m.  We’re expecting a number of guests from out-of-town, including from Stratford, where Matt will soon begin in his first parish.  Plan on coming!  And bring food to share (even a bit extra to feed our guests) for the potluck dinner following the service.

YOUNG ADULTS MEET THIS FRIDAY, June 7, at 6:30 p.m. for a simple potluck together, and a discussion on “Christian Apologetics.”  That’s a study of how to make response to people who deny the Christian faith or have questions about it.  If you’ve got family members in the 18-30 age range who might want to join us, phone at the office (519-256-2667) and let us know!

OUR SCHOOL’S SPRING CONCERT takes place this Thursday, June 6, at 1:00 p.m.  It will be in the gymnasium of First Lutheran Christian Academy, 3850 Locke Street.  It’s a real encouragement to these young musicians and their teachers if people from our church family support them with their presence.

PASTOR TORGERSON RETURNS this coming Friday, June 7, after a brief absence while he was serving as a tour guide to Luther sites in eastern Germany.  He plans to be here in plenty of time to participate in next Sunday’s service and the ordination that afternoon.  Meanwhile, Pastor Bugbee can be reached through the church office if you have need.

YOU’RE INVITED TO A “CAMP OUT” on the field beside Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Amherstburg on Saturday, June 15.  Set up is from 3-4 p.m.  Games will start as soon as people are ready, and there’s a dinner at 5:30 p.m.  Come spend a few hours … or stay and camp overnight with the group!  Anyone wanting to go can contact the church office, specifying how many family members might come and their ages.

WE’VE LOST TRACK OF CERTAIN MEMBERS of our church family who have moved or left the area over the years without notifying us of address changes, updated contact information, and the like.  Names of those with “whereabouts unknown” are posted on the bulletin board near the church office.  If you have information on any of them, please call our church office (519-256-2667).  We’re trying hard to have a fully up-to-date roster as we get close to publishing our 100th Anniversary church directory in early 2020.

LUTHERAN HOUR:  “Advocate”– The followers of Jesus do not wander through the wasteland of this world alone.  We have a Guide!  Hear this inspirational message by Rev. Dr. Michael Zeigler on the Lutheran Hour, Sundays at 560AM (WRDT) at noon.  Streaming audio and pod-casts at www.lutheranhour.ca.
