INVITE SOMEONE FOR HOLY WEEK:  If you are aware of relatives, friends of members of our church family you haven’t seen for a while, this is a good time to reach out and invite them to “come home” for Good Friday and Easter.

IF YOU ATTENDED LAST WEEK’S SEMINAR with David Friesen of the Lutheran Foundation and are still willing to turn in the “feedback form” distributed there, we’ve got an idea.  Place your form in a plain envelope marked “David Friesen” and turn it into the church office.  We’ll gather them all up in a big mailing and send them to David in Winnipeg!

LADIES, MARK YOUR CALENDARS!  You’re all invited to the Lutheran Missionary League Canada’s Spring Rally, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Chatham on Saturday, April 27th at 10:00 a.m.  After brief business, Wanda Bell of Hope Haven (a charitable foundation dedicated to helping homeless men in Chatham Kent) is guest presenter.  A luncheon follows in the Parish Hall.  If you’d like to join us, contact Sharlene Procknow.

YOUNG ADULTS “PIZZA AND STRATEGY” NIGHT is set for Friday, May 3, at 6:30 p.m. here at the church.  We’re exploring ways of providing service to – and through – people in the target age bracket of 18-30 years.  If you’re willing to be contacted on this and haven’t been already, pop me an e-mail at pastor@firstlutheranchurch.ca. –Pastor Bugbee

BACK ISSUES OF BIBLE CLASS NOTES are available on a table in the Lounge.  We recently concluded our months-long study of the Ten Commandments from Luther’s Small Catechism and have extra copies of any pages you may have missed along the way.  They are all 3-hole punched, encouraging you to keep a Bible Class notebook at home for future reference.

LUTHERAN HOUR:  “He Loved Them to the End” (John 13/18/19) – We are people of diverse backgrounds drawn together by Jesus.  We want to share His life with you.  Hear this inspirational message by Speaker Rev. Dr. Michael Ziegler on the Lutheran Hour, Sundays at 560AM (WRDT) at noon.  Streaming audio and pod-casts at www.lutheranhour.ca.  A special devotion is also available online from Lutheran Hour Ministries each day during Lent at www.lhm.org/lent.
