ENTER, REST AND PRAY: We are happy to greet both visitors and members in God’s House on this day. Take a moment before the service begins to ask the Lord to bless those who lead in worship this morning, and to open you—and all other worshipers here—to the gifts of pardon and growth He wants to give. Visitors, let one of the ushers know if you need assistance with anything during your time among us. Come again soon!

SUMMER WORSHIP SCHEDULE begins today and runs through Labour Day weekend. German services remain at 8:45 a.m. all summer, followed by English at 10:00 a.m. Our classes for adults and children stand in recess until September 9.
THE LORD IS FAITHFUL TO YOU ALL SUMMER, and we ask, “Will you respond with faithfulness to Him?” God bless the holiday time and travels you treasure, but do plan to be here in His House and at Christ’s table every summer Sunday you are able.
READ THE CANADIAN LUTHERAN, the national magazine of Lutheran Church-Canada. Copies of the latest edition are still available this morning at the back of the church.
CHURCH OFFICE CLOSURES THIS WEEK: Our church office will only be open this week, Tuesday-Thursday, July 3-5, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
ON THIS CANADA DAY we have reason to thank God for all the blessings bestowed on us since the confederation of our country was proclaimed on July 1, 1867. In our prayers we also ask the Lord to be patient with our shortcomings, and to give guidance to the followers of Christ in our land.
SAVE THE DATE! The weekend of July 17-19, 2020, has tentatively been set for the “100th Anniversary Festival,” marking a century since our church was formally organized in the living room of a private home at 776 Windsor Avenue. Broad outlines of plans for the celebration are emerging, and there’s a lot of “filling in” to be done … but, for now, please set the date aside and don’t make plans to be anywhere but here with us!
PORTALS OF PRAYER, the daily devotional guide, is yours for the taking at the back of the church and also in the hallway outside the church proper. The new issue runs from July to September. These booklets provide a daily Bible reading with brief reflections, as well as guidance for your private prayers at home. Try it out, especially if you’ve never done so before!
LUTHERAN HOUR: “Truly the Worship of God” (Acts 10: 34-48) – When you get out of your religious comfort zone and meet people who don’t know Jesus, you have opportunity to grow in faith and witness.
