TO BE BAPTIZED at the 11:00 Service today:  Dexter Raymond, infant son of Dan and Melissa (née Popkey) Skene.  Sponsors for the baptism are Dillon and Samantha Bouma.  Jesus said, “Let the little ones come to Me and forbid them not.”  God keep this child in the saving faith of Christ all his life through!

IT’S ORDINATION DAY!  Our member Matthew Fenn, a recent graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Catharines, will be set apart and ordained to the Holy Ministry in a festival service here today at 4:00 p.m.  Our Synod’s new East Regional pastor, Rev. Marvin Bublitz, will conduct the ordination.  A potluck supper follows the service in the Auditorium.  We hope many of our people will support Matt with their attendance … if you’re coming for supper, bring a little extra to help feed our guests.

THE ALTAR FLOWERS were placed today to the glory of God and in thanksgiving for the First Lutheran Christian Academy’s Graduating Class of 2019.  Congratulations on your hard work and may God bless you all!

IT’S A GOOD TIME TO THANK CHOIR PEOPLE who keep working hard to beautify our services and sing God’s praises.  After today our English choir goes into its summer break; we’re grateful for their work this past season.  The German choir continues providing anthems year-round at the 8:45 Service, which we deeply appreciate.  Let them know you’re grateful!

ADULT BIBLE CLASS remains strong and continues through June 23 before the “Brunch Weekend” (on June 30) and summer schedule (beginning July 7).  We’re finishing our study, Death and the Life Hereafter with guidance on funeral customs and planning.  If the time allows before summer break, we’ll also explore the question some have asked regarding burial vs. cremation.  We meet every Sunday around 9:45 a.m. in the church, and everybody is welcome.

VOTERS’ ASSEMBLY IN 2 WEEKS:  Our spring meeting is set for Sunday, June 23, right after the 11:00 Service … hopefully beginning by 12:15.  We’re trying this to avoid the need for returning to church in the evening.  We do hope our voters will make the effort to join us at that time!

SIGN UP FOR PICTURES!  If you want to claim a good date and time to have your family’s picture taken for our upcoming 100th Anniversary Pictorial Directory, there are sign-up sheets on the bulletin board outside Pastor Bugbee’s office.  These initial appointments are coming August 19-22.

WE SHARE THE AIR:  Scented products have chemicals that may trigger serious health reactions in people with asthma, migraines, allergies or chemical sensitivities.  To minimize the impact to our members, friends and visitors, we respectfully ask that all of us either avoid or reduce the use of scented products when attending or visiting our church.  We thank you for your understanding and help.
