THANK YOU! Rev. Matthew Fenn and Laurin would like to sincerely thank all the saints at First Lutheran for their kindness and hospitality in hosting Pastor Fenn’s ordination. They were deeply moved by the amount of time and effort that went into making this service and the banquet which followed successful. They are grateful for the gifts and well wishes, and send their Christian love and greetings to all the members of First Lutheran Church.

YOUNG ADULT FELLOWSHIP meets again on Thursday, August 8, at 6:30 p.m. here at church for dinner and discussion.  Bring a little money along to “chip in” and help with the cost of ordering in.  You’re welcome to bring friends, too, as others have already done.  See you soon!

RETURNING FROM HOLIDAYS:  Pastor Bugbee returns to the office on Tuesday of this week after his holidays.  We’re grateful for Pastor Torgerson’s willingness to be available throughout this summer season!

CHURCH OFFICE SUMMER HOURS:  Remember that during these weeks of July and August our church office is open Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

WE SHARE THE AIR:  Scented products have chemicals that may trigger serious health reactions in people with asthma, migraines, allergies or chemical sensitivities.  To minimize the impact to our members, friends and visitors, we respectfully ask that all of us either avoid or reduce the use of scented products when attending or visiting our church.  We thank you for your understanding and help.

LUTHERAN HOUR:  “You Have No Right to be Angry” (Matthew 5:17-26) – Anger belongs to God, it is not yours.  When we feel angry we should be prompted to pray.  Hear this inspirational message by Guest Speaker Rev. David Haberstock (LCC Central Regional Pastor) on the Lutheran Hour, Sundays at 560AM (WRDT) at noon.  Streaming audio and pod-casts at www.lutheranhour.ca.
