PORTALS OF PRAYER, the daily devotional guide, is now available at the back of the church and out in the hallway.  The new issue runs from now until the end of September.  Help yourself!

THE CANADIAN LUTHERAN, national magazine of our Lutheran Church—Canada, is available at the back of the church.  It’s got articles to nourish your faith and life, and also provides news items on what is happening in various regions of our Synod across the country.  Take one along!

PRAYING BEFORE THE SERVICE would be a great habit to observe, both for yourself and for those who are leaders and helpers at worship.  Inside the front cover of our Lutheran Service Book there are multiple prayers that could be a “launching pad” for your own … before worship, before attending the Lord’s Table, etc.  You’ll find other fuller prayers on Page 308 of the hymnal.

EAST WINDSOR BIBLE CLASS is taking no breaks!  They meet again this coming Wednesday, July 10, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the meeting room at the Hofburg (5064 Wyandotte Street East).  Pastor Torgerson is leading the study of Mark’s Gospel, very “to the point” review of Jesus’ life and ministry.  We’ve had great response to this “off campus” class, and it’s open to anybody wishing to come.  Sessions take place every two weeks throughout this summer.

DID YOU MISS SIGNING UP FOR PICTURES?  We’re overjoyed at the strong response, and the original August appointments for pictures going into the 100th Anniversary Pictorial Directory are all filled.  However … not to worry!  In late summer we will be able to offer additional time-slots for pictures in October.  Just stay tuned, and we’ll keep you posted in a few weeks.

PASTOR TORGERSON IS ABSENT from parish this morning, conducting worship at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Chatham, which remains without a pastor.  He returns to Windsor later today and will be in the office this week as usual.

ATTENDING PASTOR FENN’S INSTALLATION?  Pastor Torgerson will be driving to Stratford following the morning services next Sunday, July 14th in order to attend the Installation service of Rev. Matthew Fenn at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.  Please contact him if you are interested in attending as he is willing to bring along three other people in his car.

CHURCH OFFICE SUMMER HOURS:  Remember that during these weeks of July and August our church office is open Tuesday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

PASTOR MATT FENN’S INSTALLATION in his first parish is set for Sunday, July 14, at 4:00 p.m. in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 115 Cambria Street, Stratford.  Our Windsor church members are welcome to attend.

WE SHARE THE AIR:  Scented products have chemicals that may trigger serious health reactions in people with asthma, migraines, allergies or chemical sensitivities.  To minimize the impact to our members, friends and visitors, we respectfully ask that all of us either avoid or reduce the use of scented products when attending or visiting our church.  We thank you for your understanding and help.
